Lord of the Ring Line Parties

Short reports can be found here. Organized through the online resources of TheOneRing.net, Line Parties were celebrations of each of the midnight releases of the Lord of the Rings films. What started as a "want some music with that?" question turned into an annual gig for Dorian Mirth, that in turn led directly to more events, not to mention meeting many wonderful and interesting fellow fans. A BIG thank you to MrCere, the Line Party guru--and local fan--for organizing and overseeing all three in Salt Lake City.

Harry Potter

To celebrate the release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Dorian Mirth throughout the City Library's "Midnight Muggle Madness" leading up to the 12:01am release. Thousands of people were in attendence and a magical time was had by all.

Archives Building Dedication

Scottish Festivals

Combining our love of both traditional Scottish music and well, men in kilts we have had the oppotunity to participate in few wonderful Scottish Festivals. On June 12, 2004 we spent the day at Thanksgiving Point at the invitation of the Utah Scottish Association, to be repeated on June 11, 2005; and on August 7, 2004 - after a lovely journey - we found ourselves at the 2nd Annual Emery County Scottish Festival in Castle Dale, Utah. Scotland forever!

Greenshow Festivities August 10, 2000 for the play Twelve Dancing Princesses on the campus of Salt Lake Community College. Dorian Mirth member Melonie also worked on the costumes for the show.

Presented by the Northwest Tolkien Society this Tolkien Convention was held over three days at the Sea-Tac Marriott Hotel. Dorian Mirth provided live musical entertainment, along with enjoying such activities as the costume contest and various panels. The full write-up is located in our online reports.
